While we work with students across the country, our immediate openings are:        

Location: 

• Casselberry, FL 32707 (Seminole County)
• South Seminole Academy Middle School

Schedule: 

• Monday-Friday during regular school hours (5 days per week, excluding school holidays)

Hours: 

• 9:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

  Pay:  

• $29-30 per hour, based on experience and other factors

 In this role, you will: 

• Work as a Tutor, supporting 6-8th grade students in Middle School Science (General Science and Environmental Science) or Math (Pre-Algebra, Algebra, and Geometry).
• Support students in Special Education with IEP's.
• Provide small group tutoring sessions to students using the provided curriculum and learning technology.
• Manage classroom dynamics to ensure a conducive learning environment.      
• Adapt teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.

• A teaching credential issued by the state of Florida <or> A bachelor's degree accompanied by a Statement of Eligibility issued by the Florida Department of Education (ESE Certificate)
  • Credential must be in Science, Math, or Multi Subject. Non-Science or Math credentialed teachers will be considered if you have experience teaching Math or Science and have a strong knowledge and familiarity with Math or Science.
• Experience working with struggling students and at-promise populations is preferred 
• Have classroom experience teaching or supporting reading instruction
• Can complete the fingerprinting process within 48 hours of an offer
• In this role you will need to be able to meet DOJ/FBI fingerprint clearance requirements for this position
• You can provide 3 professional references
• You are detail-oriented and highly dependable
• You are an effective communicator 
• You have reliable transportation
• You can provide a negative tuberculosis test within 2 weeks of being hired
• You love learning, teaching, and empowering others to soar
