Job Details

• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8AM-2PM (times vary by site)
• Timeline: July 8th - middle of Aug (dates vary by site); ongoing work available based on demand
• Locations: Various school sites throughout Orange County 

Job Highlights

• Pay rate:
  • $22 per hour standard
  • $23 per hour if bilingual (Spanish or other preferred language based on site request)
  • $24 per hour if credentialed teacher or certificated tutor 
• Potential for additional hours with our L.A. County Library tutoring in the afternoons/evenings
• Bonus for outstanding attendance
• Gas reimbursement when working multiple programs

• Opportunity to work year around with LAUSD and other school districts

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum of 60 units of college credits with a minimum of 1 year of tutoring experience in Math
• Proficiency in high level math as tutoring is for high school students
• Detail-oriented and highly dependable
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Motivation and passion to help students achieve academic excellence
• Must have reliable transportation for in-person tutoring. If driving, proof of insurance for your vehicle is needed
• Must clear reference check & FBI/DOJ background check processes
• Must provide a negative tuberculosis test (valid within the last 2 years)
• Please provide a copy of any certification you hold such as a Teacher’s Credential/Certification or Tutor Certification
• National Tutoring Association certification available to StudentNest tutors
